This Tulip may be small but it flowers abundantly and the flowers are a not-to-be-missed, brilliant yellow (with a white edge). Tulipa tarda is native to the Tien Shan mountains in central Asia. Tulipa tarda is suitable for naturalising in a sunny spot. This dazzling Tulip combines well with Grape hyacinths (Muscari sp.).
