SMILACINA - False spikenard

Smilacina or Maianthemum (common name: False Solomon’s seal) is a shade-loving plant originating from North America. Smilacina is less well known than our native Polygonatum (Solomon’s seal) and often gets mistaken for it. However, the difference is clear: Smilacina has a characteristic white plume on the end of every stem.
