The charming flowers of Erythronium dens-canis, in different shades of lilac, appear in early spring. Dog's tooth violet has beautifully marked leaves. This Erythronium prefers a moisture retaining, humus-rich or loamy soil.
Erythronium dens-canis is native to southern Europe.
The loose bulbs of Dog's tooth violet are susceptible to drying out: please plant them as quickly as possible. The bulbs can be stored for a short while in the fridge (frost free).
