Crocus flavus, otherwise known as Yellow crocus, naturalises modestly. If you’re looking for some bright spring colour, then the Yellow crocus could be the bulb for you. At only 10cm high the Yellow crocus isn’t large, so although bright won’t become too bolshie. Give that yellow a try – if only here and there!

Crocus flavus is native to Greece, former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria and Turkey, and has been used in the gardening world for a long time already.

Just an idea…plant Crocus flavus with the Dutch crocuses Crocus ‘Vanguard’ and Crocus ‘Jeanne d’Arc’. See the second photo below for the result.
