Crocus minimus (Pigmy crocus) is one of the smallest Crocuses available. The Pigmy crocus flowers profusely and has a long flowering period: with a bit of luck Crocus minimus flowers from February until April. Crocus minimus is an easy bulb to establish, as long as she's planted in a warm, sunny and dry spot. Ideal planting places are rock gardens, raised flowerbeds or in terracotta pots.

Crocus minimus is native to Sardinia and Corsica (from an altitude of >700 meter) where she grows both on stony or sandy places, as in dry grassland.
