Camassia quamash is a shorter Camass with beautiful deep blue flowers. This Camass is a very suitable bulb for in a flower meadow, or in combination with low-growing perennials and grasses in borders, but can also be planted along a damp pond edge. 

The bulb of Camassia quamash was an important food source to the Native Americans, and also to the European pioneers who ate the Camass bulbs during the coast-to-coast crossing to North America. Land of origin: western USA and western Canada.
